Day 62!

Hola!
I am here again and it's day 62, in 61 days is christmas and in 231days is my honor graduation @skyview!
Today I would like to think back, because it is really hard for me to remember what happened!
So today is no school, because of parent-teacher conferences and because of that we had the last two days 2hr early releases!
Yesterday, I was alone with the kids, because my hostparents were at the temple, so my neighbour Makena came over and we had a lot of fun, she is 12 and got 4 Brothers and one is gone rightnow so we talked a lot! On wednesday I was at the church to carve pumpkins( photo), I made one for my Brothers! On tuesday I was at cheer practice, to be with the girls, at the time I am not allowed to practice with them but I am a kind of  Team manager...
On Staurday was Homecoming and it was really a lot of fun, I went with the other exchangestudents and I met a lot of friends, same as at the game. And at the game I met two persons from the Lewis and Clark College they were looking for the Columbia River Quarterback, who we sadly injuried but one of them played in Vienna and he know the Lions and I was so happy to finally meet somebody who know my Team!!!! :)
At the moment in School I am pretty good, got in every class an A and I have friends who take me for lunch and stuff.
On Sunday, I will (hopefully) make my senior picture with morgan! She is really busy but she want to make it and I am glad to have so awesome friends!
Thats probably it to today, please excuse every misspelling in former or furture posts I do them always really fast on my phone so don't judge me!

Love
Rike

P.S.: I have finally Photos! I gonna Upload them in a seperate Post with description!

26-mile walk and German Bowl

Hey,
Its me again, I know I havn't posted for a long time. What happened is that I found friends in school, went to taco bell(awesome) and kind of destroyed everything. As long I am here we had a flat tire, we needed a new batterie for the car, we needed a new stove and microwave. Bur now everything is alright. I really like our football team the skyview storm and watch every home game. Next week is homecoming and I want to see the game and I will go to the dance.
Yesterday was the German Bowl and I was not able to watch it but I am super proud to be a lion! While this I did a 26mile walk(42km) to the temple. We started at home depot in portland, walked with stops 25miles through portland to the stake center and then to the temple. I never thought, that I can do this but it was really fun til the end, when my knee was to painful but the lord helped me to finish.
So short update, but maybe next week more..

The first week.!

It's Sunday again and right now I am a whole week in the states. Let's think about what happened...
Tuesday, I was at skyview high to meet with the people of my yearbook class to get used to. They were really nice to me and I met a guy who played football for a long time, it was really fun!
Then an other guy tried to explain me the bus system but I still don't get it.
However after my hostmum picked me up at the school we had a flat tire, so we walked to a friend of her and she gave us a ride.
On Wednesday we picked my hostbrother Dylan up at the airport. He was 5 weeks at his grandparents in Utah.
Actually I don't remember what happened on thursday.
Friday we finally fixed the flat tire and went hiking(picture wont upload) on a waterfall and I bought some postcards.
And on saturday, so yesterday we finally bought a new SIM card for me and I was at forever 21(really fun).
Today we were at the church and Kaitlyn invited me to do something with her, her sister and an japanese exchange student tomorrow. So that's probably all.
At the time I feel really comfirtable with my hostfamily even when I miss my home, my family and my friends.
But thats how it works.!

Finally there

Its my day 2 now. On the evening I arrived my whole hostfamily picked me up and we drove home and I fall asleep. The second day, we were going to church and I met some people from my highschool and after 3 hours of church I was really tired so I slept really early. And today I was at my new school and it was really full. I choosed that I want to be a senior and I recieved my schedule and my ID card.
Really cool info: my hostfamily likes nutella.
The weather over here is really nice and everybody I meet are really nice too.(or they think they speak german-funny thing)
In 1 1/2 week I will have my first day of school and I am really scared for that.
Today in the afternoon I'll went shopping with my hostmum and my hostsiblings.
And I will post sometime after school starts again.

Okay, finally I recieved my hostfamily( early, though?!) But I start with the Bafög thats a kind of scolarship and I got it. Its not a lot money per month but better than nothing.
Then there were the VBT( some preparing things for the US) at the weekend and I didn't learned that much more but...okay.
And them while this thing my mum called me and told me that I've got an e-mail which says that there is a family for me... I was really shocked. But then I was happy. I have 4 little siblings and normal parents. I'll live near Portland,OR in Vancouver,WA... Yeah!
